A Visit with the Birds

A  dump of snow visited but the weather stayed warm  and sunny. It was so inviting that my friends and I couldn’t wait to get outdoors. The Black-capped Chickadees were landing on my head and my lens which made it impossible to get an image of them. The bold little birds landed on my friend’s hand, reminding us that it was feeding time. I still feel a thrill as their tiny bodies land on me and I can feel their lightness and warmth as well as hear the flutter of their wings as they zip back and forth across the trail.
