The retreat that I attended last weekend was fun, thought-provoking and in a beautiful setting southwest of Edmonton in a wooded area with a creek meandering through it. It is a good location for a retreat from the city  as well as a good haven for the birds. The honking of geese flying overhead in daytime as well as night could be heard frequently as well as the howls of the coyotes.I love those sounds!

Other favourite sounds are the calls of Bluejays, Pine Siskins, Chickadees, Robins and White-breasted Nuthatches that emitted frequently from the foilage and with some patience I managed to get shots of all except the Robins who seem to be gathering in large numbers for migration south and were staying hidden in the branches.
